Facilities at Villa Kelapa

There is personnel at Villa Kelapa around the clock.

In the morning the houses are cleaned. The laundry you leave in the laundry basket will be washed for you.

The gardener will be taking care of the beautiful garden and the swimming pool. At night there are guards present for your safety.

The cook can prepare delicious Indonesian meals for you: breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you prefer a European breakfast, that can be arranged, too! But why not try it the Indonesian way, if only once! There is a menu to choose from. You are requested to discuss lunch and dinner arrangement in the morning, to allow time for shopping and preparation. You will have to pay for the ingredients only.

You are advised not to drink water from the tap. Bottled water is brought in regularly and it is distributed in jars. If you would like to have bottled water used for tea or coffee, then let the staff know! You can also order soft drinks, beer or wine and snacks. For these you will also pay the supermarket price.

And of course enjoy the swimming pool of 3 by 15 meters and relax in the pool-side Balinese deck chairs.

The living in the main house has a DVD/CD player, a radio and TV including CNN and BBC World.

 

Telephone and internet

Local calls are free, also to call for a taxi. For other calls, you are requested to use the phone shop nearby, also providing internet service. You can receive local or international calls in the house.

You will find internet cafes all around, the closest one just a couple of hundred meters from the house. If you are used to broadband: take your time, site back and relax: there are three versions: slow, slower and slowest.

Around the house

Your villa is located in the quiet village of Seminyak. It is about a 25 minute walk to the beautiful tropical beach. There are numerous good restaurants nearby, as well as a number of (gay)bars and cafes and an ATM machine.

A nice Passar Malam (market), a supermarket and a number of upmarket fashion shops are located near the house. And new Balinese furniture and Ikats from all over Indonesia are for sale there, too.

Transport

You can hire a car nearby, with or without chauffeur. We do recommend that you hire a chauffeur, if you are not an experienced Asian driver. Make sure to bring your international driver's license.

A car will cost around € 12, the chauffeur an additional € 23 per day. There are also bikes or motor bikes for rent. (around € 8)

Airport transfers
We can arrange a transfer for you from Denpasar airport to Villa Kelapa. Or you can choose to take a taxi to the house. There is no price difference. The ride is about 30 minutes.
